The Madison Real Estate Group, a property-management company serving Arizona, California and Nevada, has expanded its services to include self-storage facilities. The company was recently hired to manage Vulcan Street Storage, a 373-unit facility in Lompoc, Calif., near Vanderburgh Air Force Base.
This assignment represents an excellent allocation of Madisons resources, said Keren Shiu, controller for Madison. We expect to quickly realize a financial benefit to Vulcan given the quality of talent added to our team, along with the operational improvements and behind-the-scenes support of our corporate office in Los Angeles.
To assist with the services expansion, the company has added several employees to its management team. Madison is thrilled to combine our hands-on management approach to self-storage management with the addition of experienced onsite employees who will focus on marketing and operational improvements, said Jacqueline Kimaz, company vice president. We are confident that the combination will help differentiate Madison from competition and drive new business.
The company has also enlisted Directed Capital Resources, which identifies commercial-mortgage acquisition opportunities in which a material increase in value can be realized through debt-restructuring techniques and sound management and servicing procedures, according to a press release.
In addition to self-storage, Madisons real estate and management portfolio consists of office, retail and multifamily properties.
