Lock America International (LAI), a provider of locks and security components, has developed a locking hasp for self-storage swing doors and most flat sectional doors. The patent-pending hasp replaces the traditional clam shell-covered padlock, according to a press release.

“There are many flat, swinging-door self-storage units around the country, and this hasp enables operators to upgrade their security without replacing their doors,” said Ronny Ramsay, a security consultant who helped LAI develop the product.

The hasp is available with LAI’s registered, high-security key or its medium-security tubular key, in cylinder-lock or disk-lock versions.

For more than 30 years, LAI has developed and marketed locks and security products for the amusement, fuel-distribution, gaming, information-management and self-storage industries. The company is headquartered in Corona, Calif.
