The results are in for the Inside Self-Storage Scholarship Program, which encourages educational pursuits and rewards the hard work of students closely affiliated with self-storage. In January, the magazine awarded five $2,000 scholarships to deserving individuals from all aspects of the business:
-
Andrea Hart, Store America
-
Melissa Hoehler, S&A Services LLC
-
Chad Plunkett, Capco Steel Inc.
-
Nicholas Walker, Kiwi II Construction Inc.
-
Dana Waterman, Westy Storage Centers
Entrants are required to work in the industry or have immediate family members employed by self-storage or related companies. Dozens of qualified candidates applied, including high school students and seasoned professionals. The scholarship winners demonstrated an outstanding commitment to completing higher studies and a determination to succeed.
ISS is dedicated to enriching the industry through the support of higher education and diversity. The annual scholarship program, instituted in 2000, provides funds for students to pursue learning at any accredited college or university of their choice, regardless of the designated field.
