Registration is still under way for the industrys upcoming business meets pleasure event: the Inside Self-Storage Summer Expo in Reno-Tahoe, Nev., July 24-27, 2007. Designed for self-storage owners, operators, managers, developers, investors and suppliers, the show will take place at the Atlantis Casino Resort & Spa and Reno-Sparks Convention Center. In addition to four full days of seminars, exhibits, discussion forums and networking, it offers several unique business opportunities:
 
Add It, an eBay trading assistant, will deliver an opening session titled eBay It, addressing how self-storage operators can use the popular auction website as a way to serve customers and build revenue. Attendees will learn how to sell items for current customers, reduce accounts receivable, liquidate delinquent accounts and drive retail traffic.
 
On July 27th, industry expert Jeffrey Greenberger will present a three-hour Legal Learning seminar. An extension of the popular webinar series hosted monthly by ISS and Greenberger, the new in-person offering will cover important issues every owner/operator should know, including liens sales, facility rules and regulations, abandonment and vehicle storage.
 
The Developers Seminar on July 24, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., teaches the critical aspects of developing a facility, including site selection, feasibility, construction and site management. How to Invest in Self-Storage, July 26,8 a.m. to noon, covers the how to of purchasing an existing storage facility, performing due diligence, determining property condition, and price negotiation.
 
ISS has also extended a special invitation to members of the Canadian self-storage community. Attendees will be able to network and share insights with colleagues at the "Self-Storage Canada Social," an evening reception focusing on industry developments in the provinces. A presentation and open Q&A session with a panel of experts will shed light on key development and operational issues.
 
As customary, the show will include these long-time favorites: the ISS Golf Classic, Prime-Time Open Forum with Jim Chiswell, Buyers & Sellers Meeting, Security & Software Summit, Management Workshop and the evening cocktail reception.
