iBid4Storage.com, an online marketplace for self-storage auction sellers and bidders, has released iBidFRAME, a tool that allows sellers to advertise their unit auctions through their own websites. The new feature can be embedded in a storage facility’s website, displaying upcoming auctions in a click-through listing format. It’s intended to allow sellers to leverage their own website traffic, maximize auction exposure and attract more bidders, according to a company press release.
Available at no charge to members, iBidFRAME provides cross-linking between the seller’s website and iBid4Storage.com, aiding in organic search-result ranking, the release stated. Sellers using the tool can extend their branding, including logos, images and colors, throughout the auction process.
Based in Toronto, iBid4Storage.com expanded its platform and service to U.S. self-storage operators in May 2014. The website enables self-storage operators to list an unlimited number of units for auction each month. Sellers can include full descriptions of items as well as photographs and video. Registered bidders can search for lien sales in their area, review the unit contents and descriptions provided by the self-storage facility, and bid online. Winning bids must be paid in full at the storage facility and unit contents removed within 48 hours.
The company has been managing self-storage locations and involved in the storage-auction process in Canada and the United States for 20 years.
