The Storage Group (TSG), an Internet-marketing company serving the self-storage industry, has interfaced its ClickandStor move-in platform with the Store Advantage and Store Enterprise applications from Yardi Systems Inc., a provider of self-storage property-management software. The integration enables Yardi customers to offer unit rentals through their websites, according to a press release.
The new interface enables storage customers to reserve units in a five-step process that includes selecting a unit, choosing tenant insurance, registering, making a payment and then receiving confirmation. Once confirmation is reached, ClickandStor provides the customer with a gate code and unit number, TSG officials said.
“This is really the next generation of online rentals,” said Steve Lucas, chief operating officer for TSG. “Self-service is now a growing aspect of the self-storage rental process. We have found that roughly half of ClickandStor traffic comes from a mobile device, highlighting how important it is to have a responsive website.”
Store Advantage and Store Enterprise were brought under the Yardi umbrella after the company acquired Centershift Inc. last year. The cloud-based applications are designed to integrate with websites, call centers, Web aggregators, mobile devices, centralized-mail services, corporate offices and other business systems.
Based in Santa Barbara, Calif., Yardi offers software solutions for small and large operators as well as management firms. It also offers Yardi Genesis 2, which is a cloud-based real estate management application that includes integrated workflows, dashboards, online portals and payment processing.
Based in Maitland, Fla., TSG provides online tools and marketing solutions to the self-storage industry. The company's customized services include mobile websites, website development, content management, search engine optimization, online rentals, pay-per-click marketing and transparent reporting/analysis.
