Bird-B-Gone Inc., a manufacturer of bird-control products, has received the 2008 Readers Choice Award from Building Operating Management (BOM) magazine. The honor is given to businesses that received the highest number of information requests by readers after appearing in the pages of BOM or on its FacilitiesNet website over the past year.
In May, BOM ran a product release for one of Bird-B-Gones latest additions, Bird Spike 2007, a humane way to deter pest birds from ledges, window sills, parapet walls and more. The product creates an uneven landing surface that will not harm birds or people.
In addition to receiving a plaque and official letter, Bird-B-Gone will be featured in BOMs Annual Readers Choice Award Report, which will be e-mailed to more than 60,000 subscribers. The report will be published in the magazines January issue.
BOM is dedicated to serving building owners and facility executives in commercial and industrial buildings. The magazines editorial covers such topics as energy efficiency and strategies, facility technology, executive management, safety and security, facility management, and green buildings. It circulates to 73,000 subscribers and has been recognized as a Neal Award finalist for editorial excellence.
