StowNest, a startup business specializing in valet self-storage services, has launched in Bengaluru, India. The company uses an online platform that allows customers to schedule item pickup, manage their accounts, and schedule delivery of items to their home or business.
Residential customers are charged R25 per month for small items and R100 per month for larger pieces. Businesses are charged R75 per square feet per month, according to the source. Belongings are stored in 15,000 square feet of leased warehouse space spread across the city.
Customers can use the company’s mobile app to schedule return deliveries and item pickup. Pickups and return deliveries are billed per mover per hour, with a one-hour minimum. Requested items can be returned within seven days, according to the company website. StowNest has partnered with commercial moving companies as its transport fleet. Moving assistance is available.
The company was founded last year by Ramesh Chincholi, Amith Kumar, Srinivasa Murthy and Sudhindra Subbarao, who were classmates at the Ramaiah Institute of Technology. The four entrepreneurs have a range of professional experience in technology, business logistics and financing.
StowNest serves about 200 customers and is adding up to 25 new users each month, the source reported. The company intends to expand service to other southern cities, including Chennai and Hyderabad. The co-founders are also considering adding document storage as an additional service.
