PTI Security Systems, a provider of access-control and security solutions for the self-storage industry, has partnered with call-center provider XPS Solutions to integrate its offerings with PTI’s Internet of Things (IoT) cloud platform. The integration includes several XPS tools including call, mobile, payment-processing and reputation-management support, according to a press release.
“At PTI, improving the customer experience is what drives us, and we’ve entered into this strategic partnership with XPS Solutions to bring our customers the cloud solution they’ve asked for,” said Franklin Young, CEO of PTI. “Everything we’re developing at PTI—from [artificial intelligence] to facility automation to mobile solutions—began with our customer’s needs in mind.”
PTI launched its Core IoT platform in December in partnership with Banyan Hills Technologies. IoT is the interconnection of computing devices that enables them to send and receive data via the Internet. PTI’s cloud service is designed to enhance “customer experience and drive world-class operational excellence into all connected facilities,” according to a previous release.
“The opportunity for XPS to partner with fellow innovator PTI Security Systems opens new doors that the industry hasn’t had available until now,” said John Traver, CEO of XPS. “Together, we’ll create a unique tenant-centric offering for the industry that enhances the tenant experience with every contact, access and payment ultimately aimed at extending the average tenant stay.”
PTI manufactures technology-enabled access-control and security solutions. Its product line includes access-control hardware and software, wired and wireless door alarms and mobile-access solutions. The company has installed more than 36,000 systems in 30-plus countries. It operates through two U.S. locations as well as distributors in Asia, Australia and Europe.
XPS provides digital call recording, lead tracking, Web-chat support, search engine optimization services, Web hosting and data analysis for the self-storage industry. It also offers an electronic gift-card program, an outbound follow-up tool and MyStorePal, a downloadable app designed for self-storage tenant use. The company’s headquarters in Richardson, Texas, serves as a sales and support center for thousands of independent sites.
