Storable, a supplier of varied products and services to the self-storage industry, has added US Storage Search to its family of companies. US Storage Search operates a variety of self-storage platforms, including Storage.com, a facility-aggregation website founded in 2010.
Storage.com will now be powered through Storable’s consumer marketplace, SpareFoot. This will allow Storable to expand its network to a broader audience, according to a blog post on the SpareFoot website.
“SpareFoot clients will now benefit from customers being able to discover their facility through Storage.com in addition to the existing network of platforms powered by SpareFoot, including SpareFoot.com, SelfStorage.com and more,” the blog stated. “This acquisition also enables SpareFoot to continue pursuing our goal to make finding the best storage solution easier for even more customers. More facilities in more places gives customers confidence as they find and compare storage facilities.”
US Storage Search also operates Storageunit.com and USstoragesearch.com. The directories allow self-storage customers to search in real time for available units by facility location, unit size, property features and more.
Storable is also comprised of SiteLink and storEDGE, providers of facility-management software; SBOA Merchant Services, Select Merchant Solutions and SiteLink Merchant Services, providers of payment processing; and Bader and Storsmart, providers of self-storage tenant insurance. Based in Austin, Texas, the company is backed by Boston-based private-equity firm Cove Hill Partners, which was founded in 2017 and manages an inaugural fund of more than $1 billion.
