A free webinar titled "Dealing With Tenant Bankruptcy" will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 11:30 a.m. ET. Part of the Inside Self-Storage Legal Learning Series, this free event is presented by industry legal expert Jeffrey Greenberger and sponsored by BETCO Inc., ISS and Selfstoragelegal.com.
During this session, Greenberger will discuss what a self-storage operator should do when a tentant files for bankruptcy via Chapter 7, 13 or 11. He'll address options for recourse and recent changes in bankruptcy law. He'll also answer questions such as whether a tenant is supposed to pay rent during his bankruptcy and if an operator is allowed to continue with lien proceedings. Time for Q&A will be reserved at the end of the event.
