DBCI, a manufacturer of self-storage roll-up doors and other building components, has established a new partnership with Wm. S. Trimble Co. Inc., a Knoxville, Tenn.-based company that repairs, installs and retails dozens of lines of commercial and residential doors. Wm. S. Trimble will act as the sole authorized distributor of DBCI products for the greater Knoxville area.

The move is intended to create availability of DBCI products for local door installers, who can now order and pick up locally instead of from more than 200 miles away, the company said. Wm. S. Trimble will stock 10 standard door sizes manufactured by DBCI.

We approached this as an opportunity for our customers, said DBCI Vice President Larry Miller. Its a solution that saves them money and offers greater access to those who want to buy DBCI products, but were previously hampered by issues of time or place.

In addition, Miller said the arrangement is a cultural fit for DBCI, a company that rates customer service among its highest priorities. We have a terrific working relationship with Trimble. It employs good people who care about their customers and stand behind their work.

We have worked closely with DBCI for many years and are familiar with the quality they offer, their innovative zeal and the responsibility they feel for customers, added Nathan Cox, president of Wm. S. Trimble. Its the same approach we take here at Wm. S. Trimble.

Founded in the 1930s, Wm. S. Trimble is headquartered on Atchley Street in downtown Knoxville. The company employs 100 people.

DBCI designs and manufactures commercial-grade, steel roll-up doors as well as frames and panels, wall systems, interior-hallway systems, mezzanine systems, portable-storage units, and wine lockers. Headquartered in Douglasville, Ga., the company also operates production facilities in Chandler, Ariz., and Houston.
