DBCI, a manufacturer of self-storage roll-up doors and other building components, has hired three new sales representatives and promoted two other employees. The staff additions and changes are in response to a growing demand for the company’s products, according to a DBCI press release.

The new hires are Vince Hanson and Kim Howard as inside-sales representatives and Steve Thorley as northeast sales manager. Hanson was an engineer officer in the U.S. Army for more than 25 years, with the final four in construction and facility maintenance.

Howard joins DBCI from 84 Lumber, a privately held building-materials supplier. She has more than 10 years of experience in customer service and sales, and has a diverse background that includes apparel, building materials and construction.

In his new role, Thorley will service key accounts and seek new business opportunities in 10 northeast states, from Delaware to Maine. He has more than 12 years of experience in the self-storage industry, specializing in the manufacture and construction of facilities nationwide.

DBCI also promoted Stephen Sapp to the position of estimator, with a focus on self-storage projects. Sapp, who has been with the company for more than 14 years, has had several roles in the company including customer service and sales.

Natalie Beal was promoted from the accounting department to project manager and administrative assistant for the inside-sales and estimating departments. She’ll be tasked with updating the company’s data-management systems and providing day-to-day project support.

“Vince, Kim, Steven and Natalie are valuable additions to customer service,” said Bray Allen, inside-sales and estimating manager. “They each offer essential skills that reinforce our dedication to customers and improve our ability to respond in a fast, reliable and courteous manner.”

DBCI designs and manufactures commercial-grade, steel roll-up doors as well as frames and panels, wall systems, interior-hallway systems, mezzanine systems, portable-storage units, and wine lockers. Headquartered in Douglasville, Ga., the company also operates production facilities in Chandler, Ariz., and Houston.
