American Buildings Co. (ABC), which designs, manufactures and delivers metal buildings and roofing systems for self-storage and other industries, has appointed Bill Prescott as division sales manager for the its Atlantic division. Prescott will be responsible for recruiting new builders and developing relationships with existing customers. He has more than 25 years of experience, including his recent position as a sales manager for a sister company in Swansea, S.C.
“Bill brings the experience and leadership ability that we value at ABC,” said Mike George, general manager of ABC’s Atlantic division. “With past success in a variety of leadership roles, he brings great insight to our current and future clients. With the support of the ABC team, we know he will have great success.”
Prescott holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. He lives with his wife and three children in Lexington, S.C., but will relocate to Columbus, Ga., company representatives said in a press release.
“It’s an honor to join American Buildings as a division sales manager,” Prescott said. “I look forward to working with the Atlantic division team to bring long-term success to our employees and our partners in business.”
ABC has manufactured industrial and commercial structures for a range of industries for more than 65 years. The company works with a network of more than 850 authorized builders and has manufacturing facilities in Eufaula, Ala., Carson City, Nev., El Paso, Ill., and LaCrosse, Va.
