Celaya Named Director of eMove
Phoenix-based U-Haul promoted Sam Celaya director of the eMove Storage Affiliate Program, an alliance of independent self-storage operators who connect to the international moving and storage reservation system. Celaya brings more than 13 years experience to his new position, including eight years in U-Hauls storage operations. He will be responsible for developing programs and tools to enhance the current advantages provided to eMove Storage Affiliates. eMove is an online marketplace that connects consumers to a network of more than 7,000 independent self-storage operators and moving helpers. The Storage Affiliate Program enables independent self-storage facilities to expand their reach by connecting into a centralized 1-800 and Internet-reservation system.
Barnes Becomes Financial Analyst for Evergreen Realty
Stephanie Barnes was appointed financial analyst for Evergreen Realty Group of Pasadena, Calif. Barnes will provide essential background research on all types of potential investment properties for the companys offerings to private investors through regional securities broker/dealers across the United States. She will initiate the underwriting process for apartments, collegiate-living communities, senior housing, self-storage and single-tenant net lease properties; prepare the properties for financing and then package the properties for securities due diligence review by broker/dealers. Before coming to Evergreen, Barnes spent almost four years with U.S. multifamily Fannie Mae lenders, ARCS Commercial Mortgage Corp., as an assistant underwriter and underwriter in risk evaluation and loan structuring. Previously, she worked with Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp. as loan officer assistant for a year.
U.S. Door Adds Project Managers
U.S. Door & Building Products of Orlando, Fla., hired Jason Figart and Jason Williams as project managers who will expedite project delivery, assist in minimizing construction costs, and provide self-storage building teams with the potential for maximizing project value. Figart has held regional management, business development, and account and project management positions for various employers during his 10-year career. Williams has an extensive background in commercial construction management and previously held management positions in Central Florida with Centex Homes and Sprint. He also worked as a project manager in Fort Myers, Fla., with The Building Specialist. US Door plans to add more project managers to the overall team within the next 12 months.
