The second annual Latin America Self Storage Trade Show, an event designed for facility developers, investors and operators interested in the Central and South America markets, will be held May 3-5 at the Omni Cancun Hotel and Villas in Cancun, Mexico. The conference will feature seminars and vendor exhibits representing all aspects of the storage business, including development, real estate, software and security, according to a press release.
Henry Goodfriend, an international real estate consultant, will deliver a keynote address on “Global Population Outlook: How Its Impact Is Redistributing Global Economic Expansion.” Additional speakers include David Blum, president of Better Management Systems LLC; Thomas Brooks, vice president of sales for PTI Security Systems; Pete Frayser, business development manager for Latin America at Janus International Group LLC; and Markus Hecker, chief operating officer at SiteLink.
This year’s event will feature a combined exhibit and meeting area that will provide attendees with continuous access to vendors, the release stated. A cocktail reception is also on the agenda.
Blum, the event producer, is a U.S.-based consultant who has assisted self-storage developers in several countries, with a focus in Latin America, for the last 13 years. He helped produce the Latin America self-storage tradeshow events in Brazil and Panama in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
