StoreEase, which both operates self-storage facilities and offers a virtual third-party management platform for the industry, hired Damon Emerson as director of sales. As part of the sales-leadership team, he’ll introduce the company’s offering to new clients, according to a press release.

Emerson has more than 25 years of experience in customer service, sales and training, including 14 years in the self-storage industry. Most recently, he served in the same capacity for Storsmart Insurance Co., which joined forces in 2019 with Storable, a supplier of cloud-based access control, management software, marketing, payment processing, website development and other services. He’s also a board member of the Pennsylvania Self Storage Association and helped co-found the Northeast Self Storage Association.

“We are excited to have Damon join our team,” said StorEase CEO and President Josh Boyd. “He is a man of character and integrity who brings a wealth of experience in the self-storage industry with him. I know we are as excited as Damon is to partner with him in revolutionizing the way elite management is delivered to self-storage facilities.”

“I have had the honor and privilege of knowing Damon since he began in this industry,” added Cindy Ashby, chief operating officer for StorEase. “He is the best at sales because he cares about people and about this industry. We could not be more pleased about having him join the StoreEase team to represent us and the revolutionary product we offer.”

“I am excited and proud to be joining a company with high standards of professionalism, integrity and, most importantly, family,” Emerson said. “As director of sales, I look forward to sharing the vision and future of what is in store for our industry.”

Headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., StoreEase acquires, develops and oversees self-storage facilities in Alabama and Ohio. The company is also building new projects in the Southeast. Its virtual management platform offers tools to automate self-storage operations including 2 Minute Move-In, DemoSuites, Smart Environment, Virtual Assistant, Virtual Counter and Virtual Terminals.
