Update 7/22/20 – Shortly after the addition of Robles as director of development, Boardwalk announced the hiring of Doug Steverson as director of acquisitions. He’ll be responsible for developing the company’s facility-purchase pipeline. “Since joining the company, he has been instrumental in finding and assisting the company with closing on several new opportunities,” officials said in a press release.
Steverson has more than 10 years of real estate experience, including managing and leasing more than 2 million square feet of industrial space. He’s been an entrepreneur and was a “Million Dollar Club Award” recipient in the $5 million category while with NAI Brannen Goddard, an Atlanta-based commercial real estate firm.
7/15/20 – Boardwalk Development Group LLC, a private-equity investment company focused on self-storage, has hired Ilde Robles as director of development. In this role, he’ll oversee ground-up projects and manage due diligence for company acquisitions.
Robles is a real estate professional with more than 20 years of experience in acquisitions, brokerage, construction, dispositions, leases and project management for property types including commercial, industrial, institutional, office, residential, self-storage and senior living. He began his career as a field engineer and advanced to regional director. He’s currently a managing real estate broker for Blue River Realty LLC. He was a managing principal of real estate investments for Urban Land Holdings for 17 years.
Robles earned master’s degrees in building construction and real estate from the University of Florida. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
Founded in 2016 by Raj Sheth, Boardwalk is a real estate acquisition, development and management firm based in Suwanee, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta. It operates 11 self-storage facilities in the Southeast and plans to acquire more than 100 storage properties in the next five years.
