After a very slow few years in U.S. self-storage development, there are finally signs of life. One geographic area showing growth is Texas, which is benefiting from a steadily growing population, a strong regional economy, and thus, a demand for new self-storage.
A self-storage builder very active in Texas and other areas of the South is SBS Construction. Ted Culbreth, the company's vice president of sales and marketing, is an industry veteran whose career started during the self-storage development boom of the 90s and early 2000s.
