Pogoda Cos., a self-storage operator and third-party management firm, has hired Beau Agnello as senior vice president of operations to oversee the firm’s owned and managed properties. He’ll also assist with strategic plans to help the company expand, maximize the value of its portfolio, update policies and procedures, and implement facility technology, according to a press release.
Agnello began his career in 2012 with self-storage real estate investment trust Extra Space Storage Inc. as district team leader. He also held roles as division learning manager and senior district manager. Most recently, he was division vice president, overseeing 11 district managers and 170 properties totaling 11 million square feet in Oklahoma and Texas. Agnello also served on the company’s product-innovation committee and was chair of an automation-project initiative.
A native of San Francisco, Agnello attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he studied American history and institutions.
Based in a Farmington Hills, Michigan, Pogoda operates 58 locations comprising more than 3.7 million square feet of storage space.
