A dispute between two men outside Stor-It Self Storage in Stafford, Virginia, on Tuesday resulted in one allegedly driving his car into the other. The incident at 2023 Jefferson Davis Highway happened at 8:25 p.m., according to the source.
John A. Barr Jr., 42, was leaving the property when a 56-year-old pedestrian approached him to complain that the car’s headlights were shining in his eyes. After exchanging words, the pedestrian resumed walking. As he crossed in front of car, Barr struck him with the passenger side of his vehicle, pushing the man over, the source reported. Barr then got out of the car and continued to yell and gesticulate at the man.
The victim was taken to a hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Barr was arrested and charged with “malicious wounding.” He’s being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail pending an Oct. 26 preliminary hearing.
