Manhattan Mini Storage (MMS), which operates 17 self-storage facilities throughout New York City, is providing two gift-management options to customers this holiday season. Its package-acceptance program will allow tenants to ship gifts directly to any MMS location, to keep them away from prying eyes. Recipients can then get their parcels by scheduling a pickup with facility management, according to a press release.
MMS is also partnering with NYC Gift Wrapping Studio, a minority- and woman-owned local business, to provide complimentary gift wrapping at six storage locations through Dec. 20. Though the service is free, a suggested donation will benefit The Actors Fund, which supports performing arts and entertainment professionals nationwide.
Founded in 1978, MMS offers traditional self-storage, a shuttle service, a moving concierge and valet storage. It also accepts packages on behalf of its customers. Its parent company is Edison Properties, which also owns executive offices and pre-built suites, The Hippodrome office building, and The Ludlow, a luxury residential high-rise on the Lower East Side.
