The Kurt OBrien Foundation (KOBF), a charitable organization dedicated to educating children and young adults about cancer prevention and healthy living, will host a bowl-a-thon on March 29 to raise funds for its cause. The event will take place at Colonial Lanes on Primrose Drive in Orlando, Fla. Registration begins at noon with games starting at 1 p.m. A $15 minimum donation includes three games, bowling-shoe rental and food. The KOBF was founded by cancer survivor Kurt OBrien, CEO of OB Cos./Simply Self Storage. The organization provides educational materials to help children understand the causes and treatments of the various forms of the disease and provide a positive influence for avoiding related risks.
