Atlanta-based real estate development and investment firms NitNeil Partners and Live Oak Capital Partners have joined forces to develop an “urban-inspired” self-storage facility in Charleston, S.C. The three-story building at 1540 Meeting St. will offer 71,000 square feet of climate-controlled storage, according to a press release. Construction began in May and is expected to conclude in early 2016.
The property is in the heart of the Charleston Peninsula, near the city’s historic district, according to the release.
"We are excited to deliver this best-in-class storage facility to the dynamic and rapidly growing city of Charleston," said Aaron Rowley, the local development partner for both companies. "We believe the design of this building honors the character of the Neck Area and is in-keeping with the high standards for architecture on the entire Charleston Peninsula."
NitNeil Partners is a regional investment firm that specializes in the acquisition, development and management of commercial real estate, including self-storage. The company’s self-storage portfolio comprises more than 800,000 square feet across five states.
Founded in 2012, Live Oak Capital Partners focuses primarily on “niche property types and off-market” opportunities, according to the release. It has investment interests in self-storage, industrial, manufactured-housing and office properties.
