Police have recovered 2,500 cases of stolen liquor valued at $800,000 from three self-storage facilities in Brampton and Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Investigators searched Safe Self Storage and Public Storage in Brampton, and Yellow Self Storage in Mississauga. Four suspects were arrested.

Investigators began looking into the sale of stolen liquor to several businesses, bars and residents last November. Police believe the shipment seized this week originated in China and was destined for California. Recovered merchandise included Absolut, Bacardi and Ballantines products.

Police arrested Bikramjit Mann, 23, and Opinder Singh Sian, 25, of Surrey, British Columbia; and Mandeep Paul Bhatoa, 29, and Christine Frostad, 28, of Burnaby, British Columbia. Charges include possession of stolen property more than $5,000, trafficking in stolen property, conspiracy to commit an indictable offense and participation in a criminal organization.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 866.876.5423, extension 6651, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 800.222.8477.
