HFF (Holliday Fenoglio Fowler LP), a provider of commercial real estate and capital-markets services to self-storage and other commercial sectors, has hired Tom Doyle as a director in its Tampa, Fla., office. Doyle will focus on self-storage sales transactions in the Southeast and Southwest.
Doyle joins HFF from self-storage brokerage firm SkyView Advisors, where he was a senior vice president. In this role, he provided clients with a range of advisory services, including acquisition and disposition strategies, asset valuation, debt and equity strategies, joint-venture structures, and third-party management audits. Prior to SkyView, he was a senior vice president at Brown Gibbons Lang, where he initiated the self-storage group for the regional investment bank.
Before launching his career in self-storage real estate, Doyle played professional baseball for 14 years at the AAA level for the Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. He was also a special-assignment coach with the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays.
Doyle is a member of the Florida Self Storage Association board of directors, as well as the Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee Self Storage Associations.
“Self-storage has emerged over the last few years as a popular investment class, and we are thrilled that Tom has joined our team to offer HFF’s valued self-storage clients a key contact in the Southeast and Southwest United States,” said Matt Mitchell, senior managing director and co-head of the HFF Tampa office. “Tom is a respected leader in the self-storage space, and has developed a reputation for integrity and professionalism, knowledge of the market, and dedication to his clients through his long-term relationships.”
HFF and its affiliate, HFF Securities LP, are owned by HFF Inc. The firm operates out of 22 offices nationwide and specializes in advisory services, commercial-loan servicing, debt and equity placement, and investment and loan sales.
