San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) is a title sponsor of the seventh annual Nativity Prep Academy Golf Classic on Sept. 21, which will raise funds for at-risk youth enrolled at the school.
Held at the Coronado Municipal Golf Course, the event will include a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start in a scramble format, a round of golf with cart, lunch at a burger-bar barbeque, contests for prizes, and a buffet dinner with a raffle and live auction. Contests include two hole-in-one opportunities, longest drive and closest to the pin. Non-golfing family and friends are invited to participate in the cocktail reception and dinner beginning at 4:30 p.m. for $40 per person.
We understand that our sponsorship helps generate proceeds that cover approximately 25 percent of the schools annual operational budget, therefore making a significant impact on helping the school and the 180 youth it serves to fulfill its mission of sending all of its inner-city children to college, said SDSS Managing Member Tony Carr. Were particularly impressed with the schools extended-day schedule, where children can remain on campus to engage in additional instruction and participate in athletic, artistic or computer-based activities.
Nativity Preps educational model includes a 10-hour school day, summer semester, small classes, individual and family counseling, weekly support while in high school, and numerous field trips.
Founded in 1972, SDSS has 16 facilities in San Diego County and additional facilities in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The company is locally owned and operated.
