Update 2/10/20 – SurePoint Self Storage has opened its facility in Sugarland, Texas. The general contractor was SBS Construction. The facility will be managed by self-storage real estate investment trust CubeSmart.
The company also broke ground on its development on Sienna Parkway, its sixth project in the Houston area.
4/12/18 – The Sugar Land City Council recently approved SurePoint’s site plan for the three-story facility in Imperial, a 720-acre master-planned community in Houston designed by Johnson Development Corp., a residential and commercial land-development company.
This is the developer’s second project with Johnson. The companies announced last month that they’ll build another SurePoint location in Sienna Plantation, a residential and commercial development in Missouri City, Texas.
Both developments, SurePoint’s fifth and sixth in the Houston area, will begin construction this summer.
3/24/17 – Texas-based SurePoint Self Storage has launched a fifth development in the Greater Houston area. The company will build a three-story, 90,000-square-foot facility on 2.21 acres in Sugar Land, at the intersection of Voss Road and Highway 6. Construction is scheduled to begin this winter, according to a press release.
SurePoint recently opened two new facilities in the greater Houston market. One is a three-story, 119,000-square-foot facility on Barker Cypress Road at Cypress North Houston. The other is a four-story asset in Richmond, Texas, near Highway 59 and the Grand Parkway. The company expects to begin construction on its Pearland, Texas, project next month, the release stated.
SurePoint is owned by developers Jeff Bailey, Brian Cisarik and Robert Loeb. Cisarik and Loeb have been active in the San Antonio self-storage market since 2001. The developers operate seven facilities in Texas. The company purchased a development property outside of Texas for the first time last year in Kansas City, Mo.
