Storage Solution LLC, a self-storage operator with five California locations, was recently recognized in Fontana and Orange County, Calif., for its business prowess and charitable contributions, respectively. The company received a 2015 “Best Businesses of Fontana” award in the self-storage category, and raised more than $12,000 for the 24th annual Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure to support breast-cancer research, according to company press releases.
Storage Solution received the business award from the Best Businesses of Fontana Award Program, which annually honors the achievements and accomplishments of local providers. Recognition is given to companies that demonstrate best practices and implement programs that “generate competitive advantages and long-term value,” the release stated.
“These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community,” award officials said in the release. “These exceptional companies help make the Fontana area a great place to live, work and play.”
Storage Solution also participated in the Race for a Cure for the seventh consecutive year, winning a third-place award for its business category and money raised. Owner Pam Domingue was among the top five individual fundraisers for the campaign, the release stated. The event draws 25,000 race participants annually, with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen organization in support of its education, research and public-policy efforts.
“Just about everybody knows somebody that is struggling with this disease,” Domingue said, “We hope that by creating awareness for the disease, and helping raise money to fund research, we can one day see breast cancer as a thing of the past.”
Storage Solution operates self-storage facilities in Fontana, Lancaster, Twentynine Palms and Yucca Valley, Calif.
