Better Management Systems LLC (BMS), a self-storage consulting firm, has partnered with Puzzilli & Martins Law Firm in São Paulo, Brazil, to enhance its services to international property developers. The partnership will focus on site selection and legal services specifically for the Brazilian market, said David Blum, owner of BMS.
Puzzilli & Martins specializes in real estate acquisition, due diligence and company formation. The two companies will create a package for international and local Brazilian investors and developers interested in entering the growing Brazilian self-storage segment, company officials said.
BMS has consulted first-time self-storage investors and developers for more than 10 years, working on projects throughout Europe, the Middle East, Central America and South America. Founded in 2003, the company assists with feasibility, development and management.
Blum will participate in the Inside Self-Storage World Expo, April 2-5, in Las Vegas as a presenter in the International Track of education seminars. On April 4, he will moderate a panel discussion, Self-Storage Around the World: Business Operation, which will address challenges and strategies of running a self-storage facility in various regions of the world, touching on issues of public awareness, customer expectations, staffing, marketing tactics and more. Blum will also present a seminar titled Self-Storage? What Is That? Industry Marketing in Virgin Territory, in which hell provide insight to facility branding and promotion in unschooled markets. He'll share case studies and examples of specific projects, discussing the process, timelines and resources necessary to market a self-storage facility to a unique culture.
