Bermuda EZ Self Storage will open next month in Paget, one of nine parishes in Bermuda. The newly built storage facility at 8a Harvey Road is just outside the city. Amenities include climate control, loading docks, 24-hour access, online billpay, and the sale of packing and moving supplies.
The owners originally planned to build a warehouse designed for storing construction equipment when they realized there was a greater need for general storage space, facility manager Phillipa Baisden told the source. The island is currently home to two other facilities, Island Self Storage and Bermuda Public Storage, but both are full and have wait lists, she said. Both businesses opened in 2010.
“Bermuda homes are not built like North American homes that have ample attic and basement space or three-car garages for storage, so many of our residents need additional storage,” Baisden told the source. “Additionally, businesses find that storing inventory onsite is costly and they are always looking for offsite warehouse storage that is more reasonable.”
