A new self-storage facility recently opened in the Porte Marsh Industrial Estate in Calne, England. Calne Self Store on 7 Harris Road has three stories containing units ranging in size from 25 to 190 square feet. Property features include individual unit alarms and PIN-based entry. The facility also offers document shredding, packing and moving supplies, records storage and removals services.
“It’s an anxious time, but it’s an exciting time, too. We are looking forward to the challenge. We are hoping to fill it up and then double the size of it in the future. We have nothing around here like this purpose-built self-storage until you get to Swindon and Bath,” Peter Munk, company director, told the source.
The property is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Tenants can also request an appointment to access units outside regular business hours.
The Porte Marsh Industrial Estate is home to approximately 100 companies specializing in information technology and light industrial.
Calne Self Store is part of Your Town Self Storage, a co-operative of self-storage companies across the United Kingdom. Each branch is individually owned and operated. The network was initially launched in North England but has begun to expand into the South.
