Security Public Storage (SPS) unveiled a 2,100-square-foot mural celebrating Sonoma County, Calif., yesterday at its Santa Rosa location. The self-storage operator dedicated the artwork to the local community, including the Coffee Park neighborhood, which was decimated by a wildfire in 2017. The piece has seven panels depicting the area’s heritage, including the Charles M. Schulz Museum, Luther Burbank Home & Gardens, the city’s Railroad Square Historic District and the county’s redwood forests, according to the source.

The mural was designed and applied by local artist Jerry Ragg, who founded his business, Mural Décor, in 1986. A longtime resident of San Diego, Calif., County, Ragg painted his first mural at 8 years old. The Santa Rosa artwork is the fifth mural SPS has commissioned from Ragg. Other clients have ranged from private collectors and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, the source reported.
