Police have charged and are searching for a woman they believe was involved in several break-ins last month at a Gallatin, Tenn., self-storage facility. Four storage units were breached during the Sept. 12 theft of Red Dot Storage at 1261 Airport Road, according to the source.
A man and a woman were caught on the facility’s video surveillance cutting locks from unit doors and entering the spaces. Items were later reported stolen from those units including clothes, electronics, jewelry and musical instruments. The total value was approximately $4,300, the source reported.
Investigators later identified the woman in the footage as Cayla Ann Schneider, 34, of Murfreesboro, Tenn. She’s been charged with four counts of burglary, three counts of theft up to $1,000 and one count of theft between $1,000 and $2,500. Schneider was last seen driving a 2008 dark blue Hyundai Santa Fe with Tennessee license plate number 7N42V3.
