A shirtless man who hurled a stone block through the window of DonRic Self Storage last week in Cedar Grove, N.J., was arrested after the act was caught on surveillance video. According to police, New York City resident Nathaniel Suarez, 28, approached the facility at 405 Little Falls Road Friday evening, looked around, and then threw the stone block twice at the glass door. Once the glass was broken, Suarez entered the building and left with stolen property, Cedar Grove Police Chief Joseph Cirasa said.
Suarez was arrested Tuesday after police officer Joseph Ligas recognized him from a previous encounter. Suarez has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
DonRic Self Storage is family-owned and -operated. It offers 24-hour access, vehicle parking and climate-controlled units.
