A storage unit in Picayune, Miss., containing equipment for the Picayune Police Departments summer camp was recently burglarized.
Capt. Theresa Milar discovered the theft March 14 when she accessed the departments unit at Southern Mini Storage on U.S. Highway 11. Milars last visit to the unit was Dec. 16. The lock had been cut, and several items were missing, including several new fishing poles, rods and reels, plastic totes with Christmas decorations and summer camp supplies, and coolers. All the items were donated to the department for the Picayune Summer Camp.
Anyone with information can call 601.799.2583. Information that leads to an arrest is eligible for a reward.
