A-1 Self Storage, which operates 48 facilities in California, will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 10 to celebrate the grand opening of its newest property in Alhambra, Calif. The event at 2300 Poplar Blvd. will be at 11 a.m. and include members of the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce. Facility tours and refreshments will be provided following a brief ceremony, according to a company press release.
The facility encompasses 105,033 square feet of storage space in 744 units. Amenities include video cameras, computerized gate entry, extended access hours and wide-loading areas. The facility is near a retail shopping center and will provide storage to the San Gabriel Valley communities of Alhambra, Monterey Park and South Pasadena.
“We designed this property to offer the very best self-storage experience possible,” said Brian Caster, president and CEO. “We wanted to add value to the neighborhood with the right kind of storage at the right price. We are excited to be a part of the Alhambra community.”
The company also acquired an additional self-storage facility in Santa Ana, Calif., last month from Safe Harbor Self Storage in an off-market transaction. Developed in 1984, the 1.5-acre property is comprised of 59,000 square feet of storage space and six two-story buildings.
A-1 Self Storage is a division of the Caster Cos., a third-generation, family-owned company headquartered in Southern California since 1959. Caster Cos. develops and manages A-1 Self Storage, A-1 Car Storage and other commercial properties in California. Its portfolio includes more than 5 million square feet of real estate.
