Update 12/20/17 – For the third consecutive year, the properties managed by SAM raised funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation during October. This year, the facilities procured $815 by donating a portion of their moving and packing supplies. SAM then matched the donation, bringing the total to $1,630.

“We are proud to make a considerable donation for the third year in a row to Susan Komen Foundation through this initiative. Our store managers have done a great job in promoting and placing importance on this effort every year,” Quill said.


12/1/16 – Properties managed by SAM once again raised funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation during October. The facilities procured $1,211.64 by donating a portion of their retail-product sales of boxes, tape and other moving supplies. SAM then matched the donation, bringing the total to $2,423.28.

“We are appreciative to our store managers for their work in promoting this initiative again this year. We are proud to make this donation to such a great foundation,” Quill said.


11/17/15 – The 48 properties managed by Storage Asset Management Inc. (SAM), a property-management and consulting firm serving the self-storage industry, recently raised $1,055 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast-cancer research and awareness. SAM then matched the donation, bringing the total to $2,110. During October, which was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each property donated a portion of its retail-product sales of boxes, tape and other moving supplies.

“We are so grateful to our property managers for their work in promoting this initiative again this year. We are proud to make this donation to such a great foundation,” said Alyssa Quill, managing partner.

Since its inception in 1982, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has become the largest and most widely known breast-cancer organization in the United States, raising money for advocacy, education, health services, research and social-support programs in the U.S. It also works through partnerships in more than 50 countries.

Founded in 2010 and based in York, Pa., SAM oversees self-storage facilities as well as three UPS Stores along the East Coast.
