Amazing Spaces Storage Centers, a self-storage operator with four facilities in Texas, will celebrate its 15th anniversary on May 16 with a fundraising event to benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Houston. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at the companys Medical Center facility at 2412 W. Holcombe Blvd. in Houston.

Activities will include a Storage Wars themed live auction and a raffle drawing to give away free storage for a year to four winners. The free-storage prizes will be redeemable at any Amazing Spaces location. All proceeds from the auction and raffle sales will be donated to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Houston, company officials said.

Attendees can get a sneak peek of what will be up for auction and even bid in advance at www.amazingspaces.net/auction. Raffle tickets also may be purchased through the website or at any Amazing Spaces location.

Shriners Hospitals for Children is dedicated to innovative pediatric specialty care, research and medical education. Its 22 hospitals in the United States, Canada and Mexico provide advanced care for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate.

Members of the Amazing Spaces staff had a private tour last year of the organizations Houston facility. We were truly amazed at the innovative work the hospital does and by the level of care that the hospital gives so that [each] child is surrounded by compassion and put at ease, said Kathy Tautenhahn, vice president. The building itself was kid-friendly and cheery. Our tour guide and the professionals we had the pleasure of meeting were joyful to do the work that they do. Seeing that atmosphere of compassion and care gives us the resolve to incorporate fundraising into our celebratory anniversary event on May 16th.

Additional activities will include wine tastings, gourmet hors d'oeuvres and desserts, parting gifts for guests, door prizes and more.
