Hamilton Mini Storage in Hernando, Miss., hosted an event last month in which toys donated by Hollywood Casino Tunica were given to more than 115 underprivileged children. The project was part of a state work program that provides temporary assistance to needy families.
Program officials and Mississippi RiverKings hockey mascots Sheldon the Turtle and RiverThing participated in the event.
Hollywood Casino has donated toys through the program for more than five years and supports several community-outreach programs and charity organizations during the year.
