An iStorage self-storage facility in Norfolk, Va., is hosting a Military Appreciation & Family Fun Charity Event tomorrow to raise funds and awareness for Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a nonprofit organization aims to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history. The business at 951 Ernie's Way wishes to provide aid and support to injured service members in the Norfolk community, according to a press release.
The event will take place from 1-5 p.m., featuring bounce houses, face-painting, a balloon artist, music, family-fun games, raffles and more. In attendance will be the local mayor and police chief, the fire department, and several community businesses. All proceeds will go directly to WWP.
The WWP's goals are to enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service members, to help severely injured service members in aiding and assisting each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
