The Extra Space Storage of Emeryville in California is celebrating community day on May 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The day will feature a meet and greet with two members of the cheerleading squad for the Oakland Raiders, also known as the Raiderettes. Complimentary lunch will be provided to the first 200 guests. Balloon artist Twistyman will entertain from noon until 2 p.m., and there will be a jump house. Oakland Dynamites cheer team, Emeryville Fire Department and many other local businesses will be on hand to meet the community.
Healthy Communities of Oakland will provide free health screenings and treatments to all local residents. No insurance is required to participate and walk-ins are welcome. Extra Space Storage of Emeryville will also collect canned food items to benefit the local Loaves and Fish organization.
"We want to throw a 'get to know us' party for the neighbors, and by neighbors we mean everyone in the greater Emeryville area," said Bob Carroll, division vice president of Extra Space Storage in Emeryville. "We're excited to be here and we're looking forward to being an asset to the community by providing valuable services to customers and being good neighbors to all."
The professionally managed Emeryville facility offers 800 storage units for short- or long-term lease, with units ranging in size from 25 to 250 square feet. The units are accessible 365 days a year and feature 24-hour video surveillance.
