Catch-All Self Storage in Williamsport, Pa., is partnering with Lycoming County United Way (LCUW) to collect cold-weather clothing and related items, Oct. 26 to Nov. 6, for its “Catch-All Coat Drive.” The partnership is seeking donations of gently used and new coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and blankets. Donations can be dropped off at 1304 Commerce Park Drive, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Those who drop off a donation on Oct. 31 between 9 a.m. and noon will receive a special Halloween treat, according to the source.
“I hope this shows that all parts of our communities—businesses large or small—and individual community members can come together to help one another,” said Dave Rodgers, director of operations for Catch-All Self Storage.
LCUW will distribute the donations through its partnerships with human-service agencies. “They’ve told us they never have enough [coats] to provide for those in need. This seems to be especially true for coats and winter items for men,” said Scott N. Lowery, executive director for LCUW.
As a regional chapter of the national United Way, LCUW partners and supports agencies that provide career and learning programs, food and housing assistance, emergency services, counseling, and more.
Founded 23 years ago, Catch-All Self Storage is minutes from downtown Williamsport. It offers more than 450 storage units, according to its website.
