Burlington Self-Storage, which operates seven facilities in three states, is raising funds this month for breast cancer research by encouraging customers to donate money to Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston. The operator will match contributions until its goal of $3,000 is reached, according to a press release.
To facilitate the donation process. Burlington has created a fundraiser page on the hospital website. The company wanted to offer its customers an “easy, contactless experience,” according to Taylor Connor, its new marketing director.
Burlington is promoting the fundraiser through an email campaign as well as on its social media platforms. To date, it has raised more than $1,600.
MGH contains one of the largest hospital-based research programs in the United States. It has more than $1 billion in research operations spanning 30 clinical departments and centers.
Founded in 1990, Burlington operates three facilities in Florida, and two each in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It offers drive-in buildings, climate-controlled units and vehicle-storage spaces.
