84-West Self Storage in Valdosta, Ga., supported the Valdosta Junior Service League Fifth Annual Tossed & Found Thrift Sale on March 5 by pledging an in-kind donation. The event, held at the Mathis Municipal Auditorium at 2300 N. Ashley St., offered items such as furniture, home accessories, electronics and toys. The organization collects items year-round for the fundraiser, which benefits its community-based programs.
“Through Tossed & Found, we try to serve the community in two ways: first, by making quality, used goods available to the community at low prices, and second, by raising money through those sales to support local nonprofit organizations,” said Marriott Miller, chairman of the junior league.
Last year, 84-West served as a Silver Heart Sponsor for the St. John Catholic School 17th Annual Reverse Draw. The event raised more than $56,000 to provide educational-development resources, subsidize scholarships and fund other school projects.
Founded 11 years ago, 84-West Self Storage is owned by Mitchell and Rebecca Brice. The facility includes 365 units and warehouse space ranging from 420 to 2,250 square feet.
