YYC Storage Inc., a startup business specializing in valet self-storage, has launched service in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The company uses a mobile app and online platform that allows customers to schedule item pickup, maintain a visual catalog of stored bins and bulky items, and schedule delivery of items to their home.

Similar to other valet-style storage operators, YYC offers by-the-bin storage targeted at residents who don’t have adequate home storage. Items are stored in a secure facility, according to the company website. Pricing starts at $4.99 per standard bin, with a minimum stay of one month. The company also offers filing and wardrobe boxes for $1.99 and $14.99 per box per month, respectively. Oversized items, such as golf clubs or skis, may also be stored for $9.99 per month. A set of car or truck tires is listed separately as a storage option for $19.99 per month.

Customers can store images and descriptions of their items in the “Online Closet” section of the app. When they need a particular item or bin, they can schedule home delivery for a flat fee of $12.50. Deliveries are handled personally within 24 hours by co-founders Torey Celinskis and Trevor Loose, according to the source.

Launched three months ago, the company’s user base is “growing steadily,” Celinskis and Loose told the source.
