Dymon Storage, which operates 11 self-storage locations in Ontario, this week opened collaborative co-working space at its new flagship facility in Etobicoke, Ontario. The two-story “Work Refined” offering at 1460 The Queensway has its own entrance and includes lounge areas, a kitchen, an outdoor patio, meeting rooms and a business center, according to the source.
The office suites are furnished with desks, chairs, filing cabinets, trash cans, and white and tack boards. They’re available for businesses with teams of up to 10 people. Individual workstations containing lockable storage, file drawers and a mini credenza are also available.
“If you opt for a dedicated office, you automatically receive an amenity package that includes 24/7 secure access, high-speed Wi-Fi, daily office cleaning, free coffee and tea, as well as access to the beautiful member’s lounge with outdoor patio,” said Steve Creighton, senior vice president. “Plus, you’ll benefit from services tailored to your business’s needs. We’re here to support, guide and assist in whatever way we can.”
The business center offers copy, scan and print services as well as video conferencing, an in-office catering service, pantry rooms, personal lockers, and a micro-market stocked with snacks, beverages and office supplies. Customers also have access to self-storage units, moving and packing supplies, document storage and shredding, mail and parcel receiving services, wine storage, mailbox rental, and safety-deposit boxes.
Community and networking events will also be planned for Work Defined users. These might include career coaching, tax seminars, and wellness and lifestyle programing, Creighton said.
“Dymon Work Refined gives home-based businesses, small corporations or startups the ability to instantaneously set up in a very professional environment with a strong sense of community,” said Creighton. “What’s really attractive is that Dymon Work Refined doesn’t require its members to lock into long-term leases, allowing them to expand or contract as their business demands change or evolve.”
Last year, the operator launched another ancillary service, Dymon Custom Closet Solutions, to help or homeowners upgrade their closet space. In addition to a range of products, customers can choose from consultation and design services, delivery, and installation.
The Dymon Etobicoke location is one of two in the Greater Toronto Area. A third will open this fall in Oshawa, with another 80 locations planned for the region.
Founded in 2006, Dymon Storage operates eight self-storage facilities in Ottawa, and one each in Brampton, Kanata and Etobicoke, Canada. It’s an affiliate of the Dymon Group of Cos.
