Stor-It, which operates 15 self-storage facilities in Idaho, was named “Best Self-Storage” in the recent “Best of Treasure Valley” campaign sponsored by marketing firm Inbound Systems Inc. The award is given annually to companies in and around greater Boise, Idaho. Winners in nine categories and 184 subcategories are chosen through a combination of online reviews and online votes from community members. Local businesses and attractions were nominated last fall, and the top 10 nominees in each subcategory moved to the voting round in October. More than 18,000 unique ballots were cast, according to a press release.
In addition to votes, online reviews from Facebook, Google and Yelp were included in scoring. Overall ratings and the number of five-star reviews from the previous 12 months helped determine the winners, the release stated. Recipients were announced at a Dec. 4 awards banquet at the Zions Bank Ballroom in Boise. They were also featured in the January issue of “Best of Treasure Valley Magazine.”
“I cannot speak from a purely personal standpoint for our company when it comes to receiving this award, simply because all our efforts by our team at Stor-It Self Storage are equally important,” said Marshall Weber, marketing director for Stor-It. “We have so many dedicated family members and friends on this team; it’s a major blessing to work in such a positive and caring environment. As a team, we wish we could award the community and our customers with the same designation: You’re the best in Treasure Valley!”
Family-owned and -operated, Stor-It was founded more than 40 years ago. It operates facilities in Boise, Caldwell, McCall, Meridian and Nampa, Idaho.
