SelfStorageAuction.com, an online platform for self-storage auction buyers and sellers, has expanded its services outside North America to include Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. The company announced its intention to grow internationally when it launched earlier this year.
"SelfStorageAuction.com is now the only online storage-auction service to operate outside of North America, and that is a strategic move," Jim Grant, president and CEO, said in a press release. "The availability of and demand for self-storage avenues in overseas countries is nowhere near what it is in the United States, of course, but it is growing steadily. By being first in the market, we are positioning ourselves to become the dominant player in online storage auctions internationally."
In conjunction with the move, the company integrated technology to enable its platform to accept “any international currency” from self-storage operators and auction buyers, the release stated. It also has designated an international accounts manager and 24-hour customer service support to work with storage operators one on one.
In addition to bidding on storage units, members can use the platform to resell items they don’t want to keep for personal use, according to the release.
SelfStorageAuction.com provides information about online and live onsite auctions at participating self-storage facilities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. It was launched in February by Grant, founder of the StorageBattles.com self-storage auction website that merged three years ago with StorageTreasures.com.
