Rent a Space, which operates 12 self-storage locations in and around Sydney, recently opened a newly constructed facility in Gregory Hills, New South Wales, Australia. Completed in May, the property at 25 Lasso Road is just off Camden Valley Way, near restaurants and retail stores. It offers drive-up and vehicle storage, moving and packing supplies, and free use of its moving truck and a driver to new customers upon move-in. Security features include electronic access, individually alarmed units and video cameras.
“The new facility features [more than] 500 rentable self-storage spaces and boasts many state-of-the-art customer conveniences,” said Thomas Whalan, general manager. "Our self-storage property was designed to meet the highest expectations of our customers, and we feel that the local residents will find the quality and security of our site very appealing."
The area has experienced an increase in self-storage demand, according to a company press release. “The region is a very vibrant place to live and work, and we’re excited to be a part of the area’s growth story,” said Whalan, an Australian water-polo player who competed in the 2000, 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Founded in 1979, Rent a Space is an Australian-owned and -operated business. It has more storage sites under development.
